What should I do if I have a dental emergency?
The first thing we tell our patients is: Don’t panic! If you have a dental emergency and you are unsure of what to do, give us a call. We can go over your symptoms and help determine whether we need to see you immediately or if it can wait until our next available appointment.
Some incidents always count as a dental emergency.
- If you have suffered a trauma and completely knocked out a tooth. Try to put the tooth back into its socket. If that isn’t possible, keep it moist until you get to our office. The sooner you come in, the better the chances of Dr. Tran being able to save your tooth.
- If you are bleeding from the mouth and it won’t stop, you should call us right away, and we will get you in. Bleeding in the mouth is never normal and so should be taken seriously.
- If you have a toothache that has become unbearable, give us a call. You might have an infection in the tooth root, which will only grow worse if we don't treat it. A root canal will not only eliminate your dental pain, but it should be able to save your tooth.
Call our Canton, MA practice if you have a dental emergency and we will get you scheduled as soon as possible.
